More Than Mom

This series is an exploration of the feeling of rediscovering who I was after coming out of the first four sleep deprived months of motherhood.

More Than Mom is my ode to all the moms who feel like their personal success was put on the back burner after they had kids. Fielding questions about milestones, sleep, or food, while often struggling in silence through a huge and isolating transition.

It was also an excuse to make mom merch that felt cool and fun.

Mom & ______

The minute I announced my pregnancy every conversation became one big Q&A about baby. I missed talking about my job and my art; and, when we both went back to work while juggling a newborn and no childcare, I especially missed opportunities to share my own feelings.

It didn’t feel like there was room for me to be my own person and also be a loving mother.

I’m A Cool Mom

My favorite thing about this project, outside of connecting with a community of same-minded moms, was using modern and trendy design themes to create apparel geared toward mothers.

A Personal Touch

Because this project felt so connected to me and my experience, it felt fitting to use some of my favorite photos of me, my mom, and my kiddo in the social media campaign.
